About OECS/TASC Caribbean Virtual Expo

The Caribbean’s tourism industry continues to blaze a path forward, even during unprecedented times. Travel Advisors Selling the Caribbean (TASC) and the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), two organizations that focus on the development of the Caribbean, will collaborate to host the Caribbean Virtual Travel Expo on June 17th, 2021 | 8 AM - 8 PM EST under the theme “From Survival to Sustainability – Charting the Future Course of Caribbean Tourism.

The Expo will be part of the OECS 2021 Sustainable Development Movement Agenda. It will feature discussions on rebuilding visitor safety, confidence and satisfaction, the protection of resources and the maximization of benefits to the region, through sustainable local economic activity.

In keeping with its mission as the industry facilitator, TASTC will present a one-day program packed with education and networking opportunities to help rebuild Caribbean tourism. The event will focus on effective strategies to get visitors excited about returning to the region, during this period of continued uncertainty.

The virtual conference will attract qualified travel advisors, travel enthusiasts, suppliers, travel media and influencers. It will provide them with valuable tools, techniques, information, and innovation, in an ever-competitive marketplace. About the Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS)

The Organization of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) is an International Organization dedicated to economic harmonization and integration, protection of human and legal rights, and the encouragement of good governance among independent and non-independent countries in the Eastern Caribbean. The OECS came into being on June 18th, 1981, when seven Eastern Caribbean countries signed a treaty agreeing to cooperate with each other while promoting unity and solidarity among its Members. The Treaty became known as the Treaty of Basseterre, so named in honor of the capital city of St. Kitts and Nevis where it was signed. The OECS today, currently has eleven members, spread across the Eastern Caribbean comprising Antigua and Barbuda, Commonwealth of Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, St. Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St Vincent and The Grenadines, British Virgin Islands, Anguilla, Martinique, and Guadeloupe.
